ODBBA Entertainment Contest

B Band celebrate Burford win.

B Band and their conductor Danny Dullforce made their Annual trip to Burford on Sunday 9th October for the ODBBA Entertainment Contest. 

After listening to four other bands they took to the stage, and having overcome a small problem with the collapsible conductors' stand they played four pieces: Army of the Nile, Chicken Run, Georgia on my Mind and Birdland.

They were very pleased to be awarded 1st place, winning the Major Edmundson Cup, with very positive comments from the Adjudicator, Brett Baker.

Special mention goes to Jordan Mason for winning the coveted Haken and Bell Best Soloist trophy.

Of course, a celebratory drink for the band at the local hostelry was obligatory.

Danny Dullforce said "I was really pleased to have successfully defended our title from last year.  Big thanks to the band for competing twice in one weekend, and for a memorable end to the 2011 contesting season."
