Betjeman, Bears and Brass

 

Wantage Concert Brass and guests entertained at the opening of the Betjeman Festival in Wantage Market Square on Sunday 11th September.

As the Pied Piper led the "bears" into the square the band struck up with "The Teddy Bears' Picnic". 

Unfortunately the clouds thickened and rain fell and although the band struggled manfully they, along with everyone else eventually had to take cover, but as soon as the sun re-appeared they returned to the square to continue the concert.
