Concert Brass Supper Concert
Another very successful Supper Concert - a sell out- was presented by the Concert Brass band, conducted by Alan Sykes, in East Challow Village hall on Saturday 13th March. The Guest Artist was James Mitchell, and the programme featured a tribute to John Betjeman, which included a reading of 'Wantage Bells' and also a performance of the famous Betjeman poem 'A Shropshire Lad', set to the music of Jim Parker. James Mitchell also performed the Flanders and Swann comic song 'The Hippopotamus'.
