B Band Celebrate their Win Outside Burford School Hall

B Band made their first trip to the ODBBA Entertainment Contest in Burford, playing in the 'A' Section for 4th and 3rd Section Bands. They're program started with the very rousing march 'The Cossack', followed by 'Scarborough Fair'; a solo by Soprano Cornet player Joanne King, who won the 'Best Soloist' Prize and finished with a very entertaining 'Kalinka'. This was very well received by both the adjudicator and audience and we were pleased to win the Section and receive the cup for 'Best Entertainment' as well.

Concert Brass made their second trip to the Entertainment Contest playing in the 'B' Section. They performed a good selection of pieces including 'Vale of the White Horse March' and the very entertaining 'Sallute to Sullivan', featuring the trombone section. Even though they did not win any prizes this time, everyone enjoyed themselves.
