London Marathon Sponsorship

As a boost to our new Band Hall building fund, our founder Doug Brand is training hard to take part in the 2009 London Marathon in April, and is seeking sponsorship on our behalf, together with a diabetes charity, being a long-term diabetic himself. Band members are using typical sponsorship forms to collect from their friends and acquaintances, while other individuals are encouraged to donate through Doug's "Just Giving" web page.

Wantage Silver Band have been making music in Wantage, Oxfordshire and beyond since 1972.

Our 'A' Band competes in the prestigious Championship Section of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
