Inner Band Contest 2009

This year's series of internal band competitions was held on 1st March in the Newbury Street Church School, including classes for beginners through to experienced players. Judges for the day were Dougall Prophet and Danny Dullforce. While there was keen rivalry, the event was generally friendly, becoming light-hearted in the "entertainment" section, with Eileen Sykes leading a motley bunch in a circus theme (above).

Wantage Silver Band have been making music in Wantage, Oxfordshire and beyond since 1972.

Our 'A' Band competes in the prestigious Championship Section of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
