Christmas Concert
The 'A' band Christmas Concert, held in the Civic Hall on Saturday 5th December was a sell-out. The audience much appreciated the playing and especially 'The Blue Tones', the Millbrook School choir (led by Pauline Davies) who sang beautifully and with great enthusiasm - and impressive actions!
The Band had some setbacks in preparation for the concert - most notably, that conductor Phil Bailey had a car accident and was unable to conduct, although all were very pleased to see him sitting in the audience! Fortunately David Johnson, Musical Director of Verwood Concert Brass, who was helping out by playing first baritone, was able to stand in, and at very short notice our own Danny Dullforce played the first baritone part in the Concert.
