Band Hall Fund Donation From Local MP

The Wantage Silver Band's Bandhall project was given a Christmas boost by the generous donation of a personal cheque for £500 from local MP, Ed Vaizey. Shown receiving the gift are Band Chairman Eleanor Turner (right) and Bandmaster Eileen Sykes.

Ed Vaizey commented:
'I donate the majority of the fees I receive from speaking at dinners to local charities or groups.  I was only too pleased to donate this fee to the Wantage Silver Band, which is such an important part of the town'
