Become a Band Friend
As you would imagine from its wide range of activities, the Band has aroused much interest - both in Wantage and elsewhere. In response we formed 'The Friends of Wantage Silver Band' which anyone may join. Friends may visit band rehearsals and will receive the band newsletter. In addition, they may purchase band concert tickets at special rates.
The aim is to encourage enjoyment of brass band music and participation in the life of the band. Ideas for fundraising events, publicity and social functions are welcome. This is especially needed at the moment as we are fundraising to build a new band hall. Due to the huge amount we need to raise, we have set the minimum subscription at £15, but hope that those who can will contribute more.
If you would like to join the 'Friends of the Wantage Silver Band', please fill in the application form, enclose your subscription and send to:

Ham Road,

Helping to purchase brass instruments for young players!
Please visit the Regent Arcade Book Shop, Wantage where you will find a table displaying bric a brac, videos, books, records etc, donated by band supporters, and sold by Phil and Sue Mudway to raise funds to purchase instruments for young players in the band.
They have also kindly agreed to sell tickets for the Band, so when you require tickets for any of our concerts, please pay them a visit, and at the same time have a look at the items on the table. Of course, you are also welcome to donate items for the table!
Join the 100 Club!
Would you like the chance to win £100 or £50 or £20 - AND help the band?
A very useful way to support the band is to join our 100 club. You pay a subscription of only £1 per month and all members have a chance of winning in the monthly draw. Last year, we distributed two £100 cash prizes in December, single £50 prize in March, June and September and single £20 prizes in the other months. Plus, all profits raised contribute to band funds.

-
If, and where, the Band can use your name; It is intended to include a list of Patrons on Concert Programmes, unless you stipulate otherwise.
Rewards
-
As most Patrons will support the Band because they approve of its objectives and the work it does in the community, each Patron will be offered a free ticket to each of the Civic Hall concerts promoted by the Band: this always includes the Annual Concert, the ‘A’ Band Christmas Concert, and typically one or two other Concerts.
-
Patrons will usually be invited to apply for a free ticket about a month before a concert. Patrons will also receive a Wantage Silver Band Newsletter each month.
Patron’s Donations
-
It is anticipated that Patrons will donate £100 per year, which can be Gift Aided (providing a substantial increase to the Band at no further cost to the Patron)
